Warm-Up Activities

Double Dealing

This is a fun warm-up activity for beginner to advanced learners. Each student writes ten sentences — five true and five false in a random order. The students interview each other and guess which of each other’s sentences are true and which are false by writing T (true) or F (false) on the chart on the back of the page. After the students have interviewed everyone, each student reads out the correct answers for his or her own ten sentences and the other students check their guesses.

Weekend Discussion Questions

These are some discussion questions using future grammar and adverbs of frequency. Feel free to add a chart on the back, so students can record their answers.

Here are some great warm-up questions that may lead to an interesting discussion in an upper-beginner or lower-intermediate class. I’ve included two sets of the same questions on a single pdf, so you can cut the page in half and save paper.
